Bonnie and a small group of contemporary artists, including her teacher and mentor Norman Stiegelmeyer, started the Visionary Art Movement in San Francisco in the late 60’s to early 80’s. With no heirs or family to preserve her legacy, Jeff and Sheila purchased her entire collection of 97 paintings before her passing in 2021. Bonnie recalled visions and dreams that inspired her art. Each piece is rich in symbolism and expresses her spirituality and deep beliefs in the search for truth.
Sheila has compiled a beautiful, gallery quality book of 100 pieces of her art as well as her biography, autobiography, and her personal relationship with her friend and fellow artist Bonnie Bisbee. They will be available to purchase at Circle Gallery.
